Meet the Chef

Nicholas Parish is the head Chef of Mockingbird Restaurant. His passion for excellent food began as a young boy when he spent time with his mother in upstate New York's finest restaurants. As a teenager, he had graduated to baker's apprentice and prep cook at a locally renowned Italian restaurant. Within six months, he was running the restaurant himself. After high school and trying other careers, he found his calling in the culinary world, attending the prestigious Le Cordon Blue cooking school and graduating valedictorian of his class.

Chef Nicholas has been published in a variety of regional and national newspapers and magazines. Now residing in the Shenandoah Valley, he works his culinary magic at Mockingbird, wowing the customers with his classical approach to modern cuisine, using only the finest local ingredients.
